This year’s event took place on Saturday 9th October 2021 throughout the High Street, The Hayridge and The Walronds and welcomed more than 2000 local people.
Creative Cullompton were absolutely thrilled to be part of it and teamed up with the Creative Cabin from the Thelma Hulbert Gallery, Wild East Devon and the Connecting The Culm teams to offer a range of free drop in art activities which proved to be extremely popular.

Creative Cullompton invited people to drop by and make plastic milk bottle moth as part of the nationwide Moths to a Flame project conceived by the Art and Energy Collective to respond to the climate emergency.
Each of the moths were decorated and a ‘secret’ message about each of our hopes for the future was written in UV pen. All of these moths will be used to create a giant art installation which will be displayed at Glasgow’s Botanic Gardens during COP26.
We had great fun chatting to everyone that dropped in to see us and a whopping 93 beautiful milk bottle moths were made on the day.

We were delighted to be joined by The Creative Cabin and Wild East Devon who continued the environmental theme by offering a host of free children’s activities including printing, weaving and decorating willow fish and the opportunity to take part in climate conversations.
Connecting the Culm also joined in the fun to offer a free pond-dipping activity as well as children’s storytelling.

We were also able to help arrange performances by a number of musicians including The Dilly Boys, the Cullompton Community Choir and local musician Dick Graham which went down a storm and made great use of the new Creative Cullompton stage.
