This workshop is for anyone who wants to grow as a performer or songwriter and it’s open to complete beginners or those who want to brush up on their creative skills.
You will explore ways to improve songs, free-writing and writing to a brief. If you would rather bring a cover song to learn to play, then that’s fine too!
Our aim is to make you feel more confident as a performer or writer. Anything goes!
Have an instrument? Bring it along. We can offer basic guitar tuition and help you create chords structures for your lyrics.
Don’t forget to bring a notepad and pen!
There is also the option of a live performance in front of an audience during the Alex Hart and Friends Concert, taking place on Monday 25th July 2022 at 19:00 at The Walronds, Cullompton. More information will be given at the workshop to anyone who might be interested in performing.
Local singer/ songwriter Alex Hart is proving to be an important addition to the UK’s current crop of classy country and roots artists.
After mastering the guitar and songwriting skills at the tender age of 14 with her biggest influences being Sheryl Crow & Norah Jones it was no surprise that when Alex Hart started sharing her voice and songs at live gigs in her hometown she was instantly noticed and discovered by some of the music industry’s most influential producers and record labels.
Alex has recently returned from a sold-out UK tour with critically acclaimed folk-singer Seth Lakeman.
“Alex Hart is set to make a global impact”
“Alex Hart is not only a talented vocalist, but an accomplished musician too. Alex has grown as a musician over the years and is continually adding new instruments to her armoury.”
